Caffé New York - a family history
Our story begins 70 years ago in Tuscany, more precisely in the small town of Montecatini Terme. It was in the early '30s when Mr Ugo Incerpi, owner of Bar New York, bought a coffee roasting machine to offer an exceptional product to the select public who came to the temple spa for the spa treatment.
And the result? His coffee was so excellent that word got around in no time and even guests from Florence arrived on Sundays to enjoy the coffee of "Sor Ugo".
Since the mid-30s, the colored woman with the coffee beans on the packaging is the trademark of the "Caffé New York".
In the fifties and sixties, Mr. Incerpi 's son - in - law, Oscar Onori, succeeded in expanding the "one - man business" to roast and from now on the "Caffé New York" was sold at bars and restaurants throughout Tuscany.
When you taste a cup of our coffee, perhaps at your favorite spot, close your eyes and remember that this sip is 70 years of family tradition.
